Hi,

I need to upload 800 Go of content, where i can get a ultra high speed UPLOAD connection ? Like the connections of the dedicated servers, 10 MBPS, 20 MBPS... etc.

Thanks.

The price is not a problem.

You could try and lease a virtual machine or a dedicated server in some local data center and max out the bandwidth on that? ... or try and find someone who will do it for you on some freelance site like GetAFreelancer.com ... or post a hard drive to someone who can move the data locally for you

Not going to happen from home.

If possible, it would probably easier and quicker to just buy a 1TB hard drive (or 2) and post it (them) to the destination. Safer for the data would be a couple of LTO3 tapes if you have access to the drives here and at the destination.

If sending via post is not an option, you should contact the local web hosting companies and ask them for a quote for the one of job of uploading the data in a specific time frame. The price will likely be several times higher if international.

800 GB is not realistically doable over the internet internationally.

Even over a 20 Mbps connection running at 70% of rated speed (even those things don't guarantee 100% of rated speed!) you'll still only manage to transfer about 6GB of data per hour. Which would still mean over 5 days of non stop transferring and then hoping there were no errors!

I'm pretty sure even in the West they'd just sent out a messenger with a hard drive or tapes!

5 days is ok for the transfer, in reality i have like 3 months to send all the datas.

Is not possible to me to get a high speed connection at home ? 1 mbps UPLOAD can be sufficient.

Fastest upload wise you'll get is 2Mbps through CAT G.SHDSL

Not sure if it is available in your area though. Find out more at your local CAT office.

2600 Baht (+ VAT) for the 2/2 Mbps symmetrical Premier package or 5000 Baht (+vat) for the litepaq business. You'll need to either buy the special G.SHDSL modem or rent it from CAT.

On the latter more expensive package you'll probably get close to 90% of rated speed pretty much guaranteed!

I think the bandwich it's same between 2 600 and 5 000 and 6 500B, they just offer more services, no ?

A few more things such as a fixed IP address and dial up back up... Major difference will be in the sharing ratio, i.e. how heavily the international bandwidth can go down during peak hours.

I have the premier package (2/1 Mbps) and during very busy times actual speeds can drop to about 60-70% of rated speed. Average is like 75% of rated speed.

On the more expensive Litepaq, your average speed will be more like 90% of rated speed, and will hardly slow down during peak times...

This transfer will take around 2 months assuming with padding for outages, peak times, distance from CO, etc., with a 2Mbps upload speed.

Make sure you're using relatively small files and have an automatic CRC check in there somewhere for each of them. Would suck to find out you have a high percentage of corruption after spending months uploading all of the data. If this data is at all important, I don't see this procedure ending well at all. If you're just moving some videos and mp3's I guess it's fine.

What kind of data is it? you might be able to benefit massively from compression like 7-zip if you've got a high horsepower machine on hand to work on the data for a bit. You won't benefit much if it's compressed video or audio of course.
