Need Help About Ed Visa !

Hi Everyone!!!

I am Michael from Egypt. I would like to get the ED Visa to change from my Tourist Visa which I have it right now. But the problem is I can't get This ED Visa because I am from The Middle East Country, cannot going to Laos or Combodia to change to be this type of Visa.

My Question is ....Do I have to go back to Egypt to get the ED Visa ? That's very confuse me.

As an Egyptian national you will have not problem entering Malaysia.

No visa in advance required.

Laos and Cambodia may not be so accommodating.

This is the list of requirements from the Thai embassy in KL.

Required documents are:

1. Three completed and signed application forms

2. Three photos (colour, size 4 x 6 cm)

Citizens of following countries are required to provide 5 photos and 5

copies of application form

*Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq,

Democratic People Republic of Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria,

Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria and Yemen

3. Passport (valid for no less than 6 months)

4. Copy of ID card Malaysians only

5. Copy of residence certificate (Carnet de Residence/ Family Record Book) Possibly needed check with the embassy but may be Malaysians only

6. Admission letter from school in Thailand (original) – The letter must be typed in the school’s head and signed by authorized managing director

7. Recommendation letter from a school in Cambodia (original in the company's or school's letter head) Very odd.

8. Copy of parent’s ID card Malaysians only

9. Financial reference, such as bank statement showing personal savings or checking account

10. Reference person and address in Thailand with photocopy of reference person’s ID card The school will provide this

11. Airline ticket or confirmation slip with flight number and date of entry
