emubob
Hi all! Nearly got caught out last week and thought I would see if anyone had information regarding late night gasoline stations as most close very early. I was in Phuket Town having dinner and hadn't checked my fuel. I had to drive family back to Rawai then back to Town myself and was lucky I knew some Thai friends at the restaurant. They told me that the Shell Garage in Town next to Soi Rommanee was open late. Indeed, we got there around 11.30pm and the place was heaving with customers. Just wondered if any of you from other parts of the island know of gasoline stations that stay open late in case anyone else gets caught out in the future. Cheers, EmuBob

Yeah, I was surprised to read that. I don't think most (any) PTT station are open after about 22.00. I remember a few years ago that the central government passed a rule to save fuel. Gas stations must close by certain time (22.00), and even supermarkets could not open until 10.00. Maybe that rule has just been forgotten about.
