Interior Ministry passes buck on sex parties

BANGKOK: -- The Interior Ministry yesterday admitted that it was aware of the existence of sex orgies, but said that lack of evidence thwarted any attempts to make prosecutions, and that the supervision of such affairs was the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Deputy Interior Minister Pracha Maleenont made his comments in response to the recent release of a CD depicting popular singer ‘Joey Boy’ taking part in a sex party two years ago.

Legal experts have pointed out that the singer had not been violating any legislation by engaging in what was intended as a purely private affair.

Mr. Pracha said that it was the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to determine whether or not any legislation could be applied to clamp down on sex orgies.

However, he noted that the singer’s reputation had already been dented by the incident, even if he could not be prosecuted for his behaviour.

“Actually we know of several people who behave in such a manner”, the deputy interior minister said.

“It’s just that we lack evidence, and have few forces at our disposal. It would be difficult to monitor the behaviour of everyone whom we suspect”, he added.

He also pledged that the government would do its best to ensure that young people did not attempt to imitate the singer’s behaviour.

They know but lack evidence.. if they knew i feel sure that they would have evidence otherwise how would they know? ahhh, what he is actually saying is that quite a lot of us participate in these sort of activities..

The minister was probably being interviewed in the lounge of the biggest Ratchada massage joint with several young thangs hangin off him at the time !
