Something Going On With "the Nation" Website ?

Featured Replies

I have used a bookmark to open "The Nation" for some time now. Today, the bookmark took me to the "Daily Express". There appears to be an option at the top of the page to open "The Nation", but it's not working for me.

BKK Post is fine.

Any thoughts ?

Edit: re-pasting bookmark here http://www.nationmultimedia.com/

Thanks, bkkjames, but same result -- The Daily Express :o .

You'd appear to be in BKK. I am in Chiang Mai. Could this make a difference ?

They didn't tell you. The Nation Website (despite its name) is only available in Bangkok by subscription.

Anyways, unless you want to go there just to see poor English and quesitonable breaking news items, the BK Post is a better option.

If I try to get there by another route -- e.g. by googling "The Nation" and clicking on the link in the google results, I get "website not found".

My bookmark worked fine for months -- probably years -- without subscription. But this is a possibility -- a switch to a paid online version.

However, h90 says he got The Nation via my link.

Most of the English language reporting here is quite poor; I try to look at a variety of sources in the hope of achieving some peculiar form of balance.

Syvie dear, I was kidding. A bit hung today and feeling rather more sarcastic than usual.

Bkkjames, dear :o , some info about Subscriptions on the Daily Express site caught my eye earlier and the question did cross my mind.

Sylviex - I just clicked on your link and got The Nation website.

With or without the www. in the address I still get their website. I am also in CM.

Eventually re-started computer and now it's fine via all approaches !

Can reach the Daily Express page I was getting before by clicking the option at the top of The Nation's main page (something I have never done before).

Address for the DE page is http://www.dailyxpress.net/ but before was showing

http://www.nationmultimedia.com/ for that page (DE main page).

Odd, but never mind & thanks for the assistance.

Probably just needed to clear your cache, sylvie. Next time (if you are on a windows machine) try hitting the F5 key and see if that works

Thanks, sbk.

I have never looked at the DE page before, tho.
