Anyone heard of this Self-Sat? Seems like a huge partnership with lots of broadcasters including Astro, UBC, SkyDigital etc etc. Easy to install on your own.

Really anxious to know more about it. Anyone with more information if this is available in Thailand?

if it helps, i saw an add on local Thai TV for something like this - had a small upside down bowl shaped antenna - on a car roof.

I'll try to find the website. Looks quite nifty.

Rather than a partnership with loads of broadcasters.. Looks to me like an alternative to dish aerials..
