Any Thai Schools Teaching In English?

Featured Replies

My daughter is 9 year old American (half Asian) and currently in year 5 at an international school in Ploenchit. Since I am self employed and running a small business, my company isn't covering the school expense and I am really feeling that international schools are too expensive (250,000 to 400,000 per year).

Therefore, I was interested to know if there are any high end local Thai schools that might have an English program (or mostly English program) and would accept international students. Cost is a big factor here but also I don't think it wouldn't be a bad thing for my daughter to learn Thai more aggressively, which I don't really see happening in the international school. I know of some expats that put their kids in a full on Thai school, but they were much younger.

I live in the Sukhumvit area so obviously prefer something within reach but open to any suggestions anyone here might have! Do I really have to pay 250,000 baht a year for school? In the US she attended a free public school so this is a major chance for us.

Thanks..
