Truck Rental Wanted

Chaimai

Recommended Posts

I am hoping to move to Buriram next week and I am looking to 'rent' a truck to move furniture etc. Clearing a 2 bed bungalow and have bed, 3 mattresses, 3 wardrobes, fridge, 3 piece suite, tv, 2 kitchen units, motor bike + various pot plants.

Ideally, there is someone who transports Buriram to Pattaya and, rather than return empty, will be prepared to earn a few thousand baht by taking my stuff back.

I have someone available who delivers furniture to Pattaya but he is not available until later in the month.

Happy to get PM if anyone knows of somebody who can do this.

Have you tried the Pattaya Forum? Sure some old hands on that page can point you in the right direction.

I moved from Phuket to Pattaya five years ago and used a trucking/removal company who had a base in Phuket.

I think they have bases dotted around Thailand.

It took the truck two days to arrive in Pattaya stopping overnight somewhere near Bangkok and arriving in Pattaya at 6am.

I was told it's a 1000 kilometre journey and cannot be completed in one day.

I got no help at this end as the vehicle came with just a driver and had to find my own helpers to unload the vehicle.

They charged me 16,000 baht which included 5 guys carefully bubble wrapping certain items of furniture, wrapping and boxing the smaller items then loading and delivery which i though was acceptable.

I would certainly use them again if i had the urge to move.

This was the name of the company i used but seem to remember they have other outlets.

phuket universal services co, ltd

I've sent you the link to their web-site for information and contact:

Hope this helps.
