Why's My Neighbour Hosing His Car, It's Raining?

Featured Replies

A very stupid question....but. It's raining here, really heavy as well. To be expected really, it is the monsoon season. The roads are flooded and the rain doesn't look like it will be stopping soon. My neighbour just arrived home and is now hosing his car. Even got back in it to turn around and hose the other side. Now the way I see it this rain has made my car cleaner, I can now see out the side windows, but why hose a clean car whilst it's raining?

Prehaps its to dislodge a lot of dirt and dust off, then leave the rain to wash it away? :D

It must be wonderful to have nothing more important to worry about :o

It is a bit strange but this country is full of surprises, Yes.

But it's not dirty. The danm thing is spotless and it's too wet to be dusty. Mind you, I have cleaned my car 3 times in the last 2 years so we may have different ideas on the meaning of dirty. Not worried, just curious. In fact I have nothing to worry about, at the moment anyway, and life is wonderful

Because rain (acidic) can have adverse effect on the paint as well as floor of the vehicle.

Another addition in rain is sewrage water which which make vehicle dirty and rusty.

Besides there is no surpirse as Asians have different standard of cleanliness as compare to west. So what maybe clean for you may not be clean for Asians. :o

True story, grandpa used to have me wash the car during the rain (gotta love cheap old codgers!).

ajarnmark, where in the world is "rain is sewrage(sic)"? Perhaps the southern hemisphere the rain falls out of the ground rather than into it? I will agree there are a lot of contaminants in the air, some areas of the kingdom worst than others.
