I dont think letting the thais gamble would do anyone any favours, least of all the already poor.

I think foreigner-only (with high entry fees for locals perhaps) casinos could work here. It could be a way to give back to all those who are bitter over double pricing at national parks, open markets, and such. Increasing foreigner turnover... or 'rollover' actually could only mean increased revenues for the local economy. At current rates, it usually takes years before a typical falang goes belly up... with legalized casinos, we could reduce that time period from years to weeks and days, Las Vegas style.

TAT Visit Thailand Year 2008 "Lose your shirt, lose your pants, lose it all!" Comped 4 star hotel accomodations for 2-3 days for X00,000 Baht losers and return first class air tickets for those who lose more than X,000,000 Baht.

:D

Excellent idea Heng, specialy if we let in the rich Thai's, knowing how they love to gamble and how good they are at it, the hotels would only have comp 1 night at the most :o

Not being very familiar with using these forums, I could not find a way to send you a PM, which I would have preferred.

No doubt you will not allow this post either. Two months late? So what. Long, yes, rambling NO, incoherent NO, just about US Politics - again NO. The post I replied to indeed brought U.S. politics into the thread about Thai politics in a big, untruthful, obnoxious way - all as you well know, and yet you allowed it! You are unfairly denying me the ability to reply and defend the Thai position AS WELL AS my U. S. home country. This to me is simply bigotry, fear and cowardice on your part, as well as manifestation of your America-hatred. You are AFRAID to post my message because the TRUTH of it has hit you between the eyes and you cannot stand that. If I am wrong, POST IT and let loose your attack dogs. I can take them on all at once or one at a time, if I choose to waste my time doing it, and I think that is what you are afraid of. Of course, I could be wrong. We'll see.
