I know about Chiang Mai but has anyone in Pattaya or Bangkok ever done any sailplane flying ?

As far as I know there are no sailplanes in Pattaya, nor are there planes equipped to do the towing.

The closest I think is a Grob 109 motorized glider based at Bang Phra airport.

Lots of microlights/ultralights and para motors around though at the 4 airports in the vicinity of Pattaya (Pattaya flying club, Pattaya airport, Bang Phra airfield, and Chonburi airfield CMT)
