I recently received a Non-Imm B VISA from my home country, and under the honorary consul's name it is stamped 'Employment Prohibited'.

My first Non-Imm B VISA from the same consulate has no such stamp, but is identical in every other way.

Can anyone elaborate on this, and the influence it may have on procurement of a Work Permit?

It is more or less a reminder that you are not allowed to work without a work permit, nothing more. Don't worry.

You are only allowed to go on business meetings.

You can never work legally without work permit.
