kurgen Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 In the early hours of Sunday Morning, Police Major Pornchai from the Highway Police Station attended a fatal road accident on Highway 7 which leads to Bangkok. The accident involved a 10-wheel truck and a Toyota Van. Khun Wachara aged 25, the van driver, was killed during the crash and two passengers in the van were badly injured and rushed to Hospital. The truck was stationary at the time and the driver decided not to remain at the scene and fled before authorities arrived. Khun Boonchoi, one of the injured passengers in the Van explained to Police that they had travelled from Bhatum Thani Province to Rayong Province. The truck was parked in a poorly lit location on the side of the road and was not spotted by the van driver who could not avoid a high impact collision with the stationary vehicle.
