Help! Bkk To Kl

Featured Replies

Hi People,

I have a air asia flight booked 29th to KL but looks like It wn't be leaving now (air asia won't answer the phone)

Whats my best option?

Bus to southern Thailand then bus to KL?

How long will it take ?

Where's the best place to get a ticket?

any ideas greatfully received..

the best would be a sleeper train to KL - no need to change. Those need to be booked in advance.

you can try a bus to hua hin and from here a plane or minibus to the malaysian border to get the malaysian trains from there.

Train the way to go but likely to be full, it takes forever and the airport is only closed until 18:00 on 29th at the moment.

Train seat availability as of today: From Bangkok to Malaysia. To help stuck airline passengers in Bangkok.

By the way the train takes about 17 hours to Hat Yai junction and 22 hours to Butterworth (Penang)

Even if the airport opened up on 29th at 6pm as media states if you go tomorrow you will still get home quicker via the train and flight from malaysia. due to the backlog of delayed flights.
