hi all,

I have a very interesting story about person(thai) trick few other people for a serious amount of money in some town in thailand,

that person is well known in the town but as there's alot of fear so nobody wants to deal with the scammer/trick person.

It may be mafia,it may be a gang..

How I make this story be on high-lights??I think if this story gets the right exposure then it will make the case solve faster for people.

help please.any connection can be helpfull.

PM me as well.

outrageous scams are often tolerated within families for decades. with the perp not really needing to make money that way.

Death threats and the works - and no one dares a confrontation.

Publicity would be the last thing the victims would want.

Here, there might be the only son - he will always be loved, no matter what he does!

How about sending leaflets to select people anonymously?

dont want to give anymore details until I make decision but I'm talking about case that falang being scamed and the acammers have enough connections to make it not a case with bib maybe?i'm talking about big things.things that in our countries will be big story and the scammer will be held in police station until things clarified.for "some reason" the police don't make big effort so to speak,,,(and who understand-understand,and who don't-so not..)

1 victim falang.

2-3 thais.

may have more in other towns.don't know but I susspect so.(high possibility).

I know a cop 'up country' who as far as being a cop is concerned is totally worthless.

His worthlessness is so obvious even to his section commander that they seldom allow him to undertake basic cop duties in the community. Normally they send him shopping for tartan paint or get him to count the gravel in the the courtyard or something like that daily!

But when he is off duty he uses the uniform and firearm to intimidate folks in the surrounding community and as a results runs around in a new Vigo (push bike to work daily) and has many Mia Noi.

He even tried some drunken intimidation with me once!...Wayne Carr!

I live few years in thailand.

yes.I know it dangerous.

I came to the point that if this case not solve /investigated and bring to justice,I see no reason to stay in a country like this.

its a corruption in its "best".

I dont care if the case will not be brought to justice and willing to ignore/act like I don't know if these people will give me back my money.

and even in this option.people should know(maybe I'm innocent or stupid or both) where they live.

I also afraid to make any move right now as it seems the criminals cooperate with the police, therefore ther's no point going to the police.however the police acts (i know they act as I spied and risked myself and investigated it by myself and I'm not even a cop) like its a light case nothing to do.

I did took a lawyer to sue the scam person itself however, seeing whats going on around me..not much hope so to speak.

how you deal in case like this.

my lawyer says, take it to court will see. however the scam person might be away till then.

right now the scam person still around, but as the police not wanting to do anything,,,I need to wait.

its frustrating.

Unless you want to be a very dead Don Quixote, don't mess with a criminal's income stream, at least not in the third world. Thai newspaper reporters get killed all the time for touching stories like this.

I seldom post here, but I like to offer wisdom when I see that someone's naivety is going to bring him serious harm.

In your situation i would be looking to get back at the scamer in some kind of sneaky way ( where you will not be identified )

Sad but true. In a country so corrupt, and so dangerous (and I'm not talking about the Bangkok situation now), to try to take down scammers, thieves, con artists or whatever, who seem to have better contacts and connections than you do, is tantamount to signing your own death warrant at worst and making your life much less happy and safe at best. Shocking, but this is Thailand. Move on and learn a lesson if it concerend you.

if it didn't concern you, forget it.

I've had this argument before on Thai Visa. I give a tip on how to survive. Someone lambasts me because this tip conflicts with their moral philosophy. If you want to talk moral philosophy, that's a different conversation, and not immediately relevant to this forum. If you want to stay alive, don't ever piss off any third-world gangsters. Or you could, as I suggest above, become a very dead Don Quixote. "The choice is yours," as Black Sheep says.
