Steve2UK
Take a look at the sky right now - the crescent moon and 2 very bright stars. In amongst all the angst in BKK, who says this isn't still "Amazing Thailand"? Anyone know what the very bright star is? Planet?

Steve2UK
Many thanks! Just took a look through my binoculars - awesome. Memo to self - go get that telescope you've been pondering so long. And I knew there had to be some more good karma coming - when my neighbour had 2 big lychee trees cut down and I lost a whole lot of shade and privacy, but gained a sunset view of Doi Suthep.......... hill16
A lovely sight! Could somebody with a decent camera take a pic of this and post it here please? My uncle is an amateur astronomer and I think he would be delighted to see a pic of this. Many thanks, Hill16

What time did you take it?Got in on this a bit late but here's my effort: Close to 7pm! We only have point and shoots so I had to catch it before it got too dark. Been waiting awhile for it though, very cool IMO.
