I actually Stumbled upon this earlier in the day, seems very interesting to me. was curious if any of you have used this before if so

1. What did you like or dislike about this

2. Benefits of using it

well, lxde is basically a combo of different exisiting projects such as openbox, pcmanfm, leafpad, xarchiver + some of their own apps.

Never used lxde but i'm a huge fan of openbox (the window manager), it is extremely elegant. ultra fast and simple but very powerfull yet and low on RAM. configuration is done through a xml file but there are some apps to help you (obmenu or obconf). i guess lxde projects includes some of those apps or variants. in addition, nothing can beat, in my opinion, the right click menu under the mouse cursor (all the *box do that, xfce as well), it is _very_ efficient and fast.

in any case, the best way is to give it a try.
