Taxi Plates

Featured Replies

Being a foreigner,am i allowed to buy taxi plates or own a taxi cab?

I never see this business advertised ,i would rather buy the taxi plates and then lease them to a operater.

Anyone know the current market price for bangkok taxi plates, and the opportunity to lease them out to a taxi operator?

Anyone can stir me in the right direction?

There are many Thais that are multi owners. Just ask a driver around Suk. as many of these drivers are renters. Newer cars are about 800bht@shift and older cars 600bht. Plates are not that expensive, not much more than price of car. You as a farang cannot own one in your own name as they fall into transportation which we are not allowed. You could set up Thai co. to operate them likely

I didnt realise drivers paid so much to rent out a cab for a shift.

I forgot that farangs cant own transportation.

Oh well i still think theres money in it.

Not sure how much plates are worth but could be a good investment especially for the future.
