Once upon a time...

A few years ago I went with some BKK family & friends to this wonder. As I climbed into the van to leave I was amazed at what I saw...every Thai was dressed like we were heading to Telluride for a weekend of ski, fun and sun.

Winter hats, hoodies, mittens and scarfs..thick wintery jackets...

What the...???

I mean, this is Thailand right...

Up on the mountain, quick, quick, quick.....

It was beautiful. King and Queen Chedi's were very beautiful as well.

Then we all gathered at the big sign with every other Thai family, crowded around the " Doi Inthanon" sign to prove we had been to the highest mountain top..all of 'em in thier Everest garb.

"Looks mighty cold up there people.."

and if you look to the right side of the picture the fam took (sorry no copy to display) ....

you'll see this weird farang almost out of sight but still visible...

wearing his shorts and a tee shirt.

:o

and very comfortable in 'em too!
