Visa For My Daughter

Featured Replies

I have my non-immigrant b visa for a 1 year contract in a school. I went home to Philippines last december and brought my daughter here in Thailand. She has the tourist visa.

Can you help me for her visa? her 1 month tourist visa expires on the 29th of january.

And one more thing. When I went home. I had the re-entry visa. When I came back here in Thailand, I got here about 12 am already. I checked my passport, and maybe was tired and sleepy, I thought it was stamped until 31 July but when I got home, I checked it and it was only until 30 June. Can you help me what I need to do? My work permit expires on 31 July.

Thank you so much for whatever information you could help to me and to my daughter.

God bless

It all depends on whever you have a 12 month Non B Visa from a Consulate or a 12 month extension from Immigration.

If it is an extension your daughter can get an extension as your dependant if she is under 20.

If it is a Non B Visa she will need to go to a Thai Consulate and get another Visa.

If you had a Re Entry Permit when you left in December what was the expiry date on it? The date stamped in your passport should be the same. If it is not you can go to Immigration and ask them to change it.

Sorry but we need a bit more info. Your details just do not add up.

If your daughter goes to school you can try to get here a non-immigrant visa based on education. Otherwise do as Lite Beer said. Looks like you have a one year extension of stay, so you can also have her stay her as your dependent.

Note that there is no overstay fine for children, but it is always nice to be legaly in the country.

This is the rule for your daughter if you are on an extension of stay.

Thanks for the information.

I have the 12 months extension from immigration. So, all i have to do then is go to the immigration and have her extension? Do I have to pay same amount like 1,900 baht? She is 3 years old.

My re-entry visa expires on July 31, 2009 but by mistaken, it was stamped when I got back in Thailand June 30, 2009. So, I guess I have to have it change to the immigration.

Thank you for all the replies.

Yes, the cost for your daughter's visa will be 1,900 baht.

The daughter has a Tourist visa. She first has to get that visa changed (converted) to a Non-Immigrant visa by immigration. This extra step will cost more.

2,000 Baht. She needs to have at least 21 days remaining on her current stay to be able to change at Immigration.
