Re-entry Visa No Longer Offered At Airport

Featured Replies

Apparently starting January 15th, just last week, the airport *no longer* gives out re-entry visas. This really REALLY sucks for people expecting to get one at the airport.

I went through all the trouble of getting a tourist visa in Laos, only to find out I lost it just a week later for a short trip to Singapore =(

I asked immigration about it, and they told me to talk to my airline. Tiger Airlines didn't even know the basics of visa rules, and didn't have a clue. Immigration at the airport then told me to "go see Thai headquarters in next country."

Since I already had two consecutive tourist visas I was freaking out, but the Thai Embassy in Singapore said "You can get an indefinite number of tourist visas." I'll find out after paying $50 SGD and waiting two days . . .

hope this info helps someone . . .

ps - moderators should delete all info on this site saying you can get re-entry visas at the airport so no one else has this prob . . .

Yes, that's unfortunate for you, but it has neen mentioned in the forum several times already.

Yes it has been reported before but a lot of members might not know that the Re Entry Permit desk at BKK airport is now closed. Get your re entry permits from Immigration.
