My non-o marriage visa is expiring March 15th, however I plan on visiting my family back in the states for month or two probably at the end of Feb or beginning of March.

Question is do I need to apply for another years extension before I leave thailand?

If thats the case than I need to postpone my flight to the states til after march 15th correct?

What do you suggest I do?

Also when should I start applying for the one year extention should I choose this route before leaving overseas?

You should be able to apply early for your annual extension. That will give you until 15 March 2010. Then at the same time get a reentry permit. I see no need to delay your trip.

You can do your extension anytime after the 15th of February.

Okay this makes sense...however I am doing the 400K in the bank route...its been in there for month now..Around March 15TH would be about 3 month in bank..so I should do it as close to the date as possible correct?

Oh and I was just at immigration office in Bangkok and they keep telling me its 3 month in bank..did I received the correct info.

Also, I must do it beforeMarch 15th? Or can they give me a little grace period of 2 weeks after this date?

The 400K only has to be in the bank for 60 days for an extension based upon marriage.

The problem you have though is the 30 day wait after application while they consider your application. You would have to be here on that date.
