Deedial Incorrect Advertising

Featured Replies

Just purchased a "DeeWorld" International calling card which advertises 1.5Bht/min to a UK landline.

Upon contacting customer service, I was told that it's only 1.5Bht/min to numbers beginning 02. All numbers starting with 01 are charged at the mobile phone rate of around 7bht/min !!!!

This has been in force since last September even though there is no mention of the fact on their advertising and enclosed instructions !!!!!!!!!

Yep complete scam noted by others and me quite a few months previous.

If you go into Family Mart you can buy I think its called "Italk" and another international calling card of a similar name, which gives an all inclusive cost of 1.71 baht a minute to Uk landline.

That amounts includes the call back system they operate, and vat.

Normally I buy a 200 baht card and that lasts a month for me. :o

This is a screenshot of the DeeDIal website showing rates for the UK. Clearly it shows two rates for the UK.

I don't know about the cards purchased in a shop and what advertising they do but the web site has it correct.

Thanks for your replies guys.

The only thing I can say is that anyone who has access to the internet (and who is happy using it) will undoubdtedly ring the UK via Skype (or something similar) - which is very very cheap.

Those unfortunate enough not to be so technically aware will be suckered in by these companies and their scams.
