Is it possible to rent a car on Samui, drive it someplace (Bangkok, Chiang Mai) and then drop it off at another office?

Maybe Hertz or Budget does this? Anyone know?

I have done it with Budget picked up in Surat dropped off in Samui, i think there is a charge.

Yes Budget allow one way hire and they charge for it unless you are lucky and they need to get a vehicle back to whereever you are heading.

I once rented a minibus to drive from Samui to Bangkok and because it was a Bangkok based vehicle and needed to be returned I just had to pay the basic price.

So remember to ask first.
