I'm considering buying some land in Krabi from an in-law. He is offering approx 20 rai. There are oil palms on 13 rai of this land, while the remaining 7 rai is natural growth (trees, cocnut palms, scrub, etc). The offer stands at 1 million Baht. Does this sound like a resonable price? Would a purchase like this offer a good ROI?

how old are the oil palms & are they producing fruit yet?

I am told they only live about 20 years, so the age of the trees is important. AFAIK not much use for the wood.

Thanks. The palms are 8 years old. I've been told that they are not producing much fruit because it's been dryer than usual this year in Krabi.
