Hi I am an Australian, I am 47 years of age. I have traveled to Thailand many time, but only for a maximum of 30 days. I wish to travel and stay in Thailand for 90 days in July. I though that if I applied for a 1 year multiple entry visa it could cover me for another trip next year. I have checked the Thai embassy in Aussie, but it is a little short on information, it appears the only visa is a non-immigrant type OA visa but you must be over 50 years old. I would like some information as to what type of visa I should apply for and what is required to get one, please.

See if an honorary Thai consulate, perhaps Perth, will give you a multiple-entry non-O visa for the purpose of visiting friends in Thailand. Failing that, get a single-entry tourist visa, with which on arrival in Thailand you will get permission to stay for 60 days and this can be extended by 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand.
