January 29, 200917 yr Received my non imm b through work, issued in Kl but have now finished with the company and work permit cancelled etc. My old boss did tell me though that I might be able to get a thirty day extension at immingration in Thailand, the same as if it was a tourist visa, is this true??????
January 29, 200917 yr Even after your employment ends you are free to stay until the end of the 90-permission to stay you received when you entered with your non-B visa. However, if you are on an extension of stay for employment, you must leave the country on the day your employment ends, or you can get a 7-day extension at the immigration office for 1,900 Baht. If you want to stay longer than that you must go to a Thai consulate and get a tourist visa, unless you are married to a Thai, in which case you can get a 60-day extension of stay. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
