Fabric Dyeing In Chiangmai

Hi guys,

Does anyone know a reputal place that could dye a two bedroom house worth of white net curtains.

Thanks :o

..um anyway.. Im not sure of where to send to dye, but its quite easy to dye fabric yourself in the washing machine or a pot. However, when you say net curtains, do you know what the material is? Traditionally net curtain is very hard to dye as the fabric usually doesnt take on the dye well. You would need to use a strong dye, and if anything you will still just get a 'hint' of a colour rather than a strong colour. Sorry if not much help.

no, but you can get dye at chiang mai plastic, the most amazing store in chiang mai. it's in warorot market. you can buy everything there. get a big bucket, some dye and do it yourself.

Does anyone feel able to pinpoint the location of this store ?

Chiang Mai Plastic is on the eastern side of the soi directly behind the Warorot Market between Chiang Moi and Thapae Roads, it's a one-way soi heading south from Chiang Moi Road.

Thanks for all the grammar lessons, rebuffs and other advice.

Now anyone know where I can get them done?

Not sure if he's still there but there used to be a man who did dyeing on Soi 17 off Nimmanhemin. Turn off Nimmanhemin and go almost all the way down to the bottom about 100 metres before you hit Siri Manghalachan, he used to own a place on the right hand side, three, two storey buildings joined together in the shape of a letter C with a little yard/garden out front. There was a sign outside but it was in Thai. He used to work at the Chiang Inn years ago so spoke some English, sorry can't remember his name and lost the phone number. Hope it helps. Google Earth says Latitude 18°47'40.85"N, Longitude 98°58'10.35"E or thereabouts
