Will someone PLEASE put a pretty girl on one of these BIKEs :D:D:o:D

Here you go - a selection of my bikes courtesy of a mate who is a dab hand with Photoshop. Pity I can't boast that they were all personal conquests! ;-)

Cheers,

Pikey.

:D

Actually, you could have said they were all your wives, and no one would be able to you otherwise :wai:

Here's another for you Snake :P

Mate, I've had one wife before (Brit, left me because I spent too much time/cash on bikes!) and have one again now (Thai, falls asleep on the pillion so doesn't get on the back - yippee!). Even though those birds are fit as a butchers dog, can you imagine the nagging? :o

Nice pair with the KTM though!

Cheers,

Pikey.

WOW Pikey, that sounds like my lifestory. I had the same thing, somedays I use to ride the bike to work (leave the company car in the driveway) & thatway after work I could avoid the nag and head straight out for a ride. I even sold one of my R1's to shut her up. Anyway, you live and learn....divorce is a great thing, cut your losses and RUN! Or perhaps in ur case SPEED AWAY ON THE DUKE! :o

Hey FF, welcome to the lounge (and thanks ZZ for setting it up). I think you made a typo mate as the 916 didn't emerge 'til 94 if I remember rightly?

Your Bonnie is a beaut - stunning! I built a similar one about 10 years ago. Bought a right piece-of-shit stolen recovered with a bent frame, did it up as a flat tracker with ally yokes, stainless guards, a 2-1 reverse cone megaphone and nice paint courtesy of my brother-in-law. Used to call in my "Fonzie bike". Not as pretty as yours though. Very well done!

Cheers,

Pikey.

Yo Pikey,

you are right about my typo, it's a 96! the Triumph has a race tuned head & headers, it was built for flat track racing, so it would not run at low revs (no good for every day use!) so i made the mini mega's to get some back pressure and now it will tick over, goes like stink (when you can keep the front wheel on the ground!)

Yeah, what is it with UK birds? You pay the mortgage, put food on the table, help out with the nipper and then when you want a bit of time on a bike with your mates, all you get is "yak yak yak". Farang bints - bloody keep 'em! :D

Both Dukes got sold when I bailed out of the UK and now have a Hinckley Bonneville to speed away sedately on, a DRz400 and only a slightly twisty Thai wife :D

BTW, out for a few day's next week, leaving CNX on tuesday 10th, up to the Golden Triangle area then down to Nan. Back in CNX on the 13th in time for V Day to keep the missus happy. 4 days/3 nights. 5 bikes so far (NO pillions!) and anyone else welcome to join for all or part.

Cheers,

Pikey

Excellent! So it goes as good as it looks - awesome! Mine was more show than go (77 T140V) and I'll try and find a print and scan it in. Got snow there now? My father in Dorset said schools were closed yesterday due to the white stuff - brrrr! A pleasant 25 or so and sunny here today! :o

Cheers,

Pikey.

Well done that man! ha ha ha, well, they recon to drive a sidecar outfit, you need half your brain removed, and to passenger one, you need the other half removed AS WELL!!! :o This is true of most passengers i know!

We are doing the British F2 Championship this year, up-dates etc will be posted on my site for those who want to keep up with events!

The link should now be on my profile page, (Let me know if it dosent appear) also, if you go to the Race Dates page & click on one of them, you should get a commentary of the races as the 2008 season un-folded, this will be repeated this season as well, i am trying to put together an "Isle of Man" F2 Team this year, there will be a link to that site on my "Links" page as soon as it is up & running., there will also be a forum on that site (for IOMF2 club members) and a Blog with race commentary.

Watch this space.............

Whazzup with the <snip> all the time now, if this forum is to be of any help links are necessary especially regarding bikes. You want us to cut and bloody paste from other sites which is illegal?

I don't know where they want this forum to go but I sense that GTR will get a load of the traffic here if they continue <snip> and <snip> and <removed> even <locked> what is this policing, "the new thai visa" let's have a forum without relevant information linked to look up?

Guess they think bikers are living inside a box...

I have been banging on about this for months (last july).. I was told back last Sept that 'it was being reviewed' yet still no ones clarified it..

Post a cut and paste WITHOUT a link in the news section and you get told to add your source.. Post a link in other sections, get it deleted. Theres no consistency.

Links to GT-R forum I can semi understand, its competition (I think its a bit petty, but if thems the rules, I can understand) but this link issue, when its a a non commercial info site is just confusing.

I had to snip a couple of links that were in violation of the forum rules. Nothing serious, and nothing that other sites wouldn't do under similar circumstances.

I'm sure there's a lot of cross-traffic already between the different motorcycle forums (not that I would know anything about that). :o

As long as the links follow the rules, there doesn't seem to be a problem with them. I'll post the pertinent rules again in case anyone wants to have a glance:

7) Please don't drop promotional urls, signature files, or specifics that would lead people to your site.

10) Please do not post links to pages that contain objectionable material. This includes, warez, cracks, file sharing, pornography, pyramid schemes, referral ID's, ebay listings and requesting donations.

18) URL links from public to private forums are not permitted.

As has been the practise for as long as I can remember here, members can post a link to their personal site in their profile (as I mentioned to FatherF, and which he did), and we often post links to other sites for information.

But there has to be caution and care taken when posting links, or we could end up with a forum filled with nothing but spam posters posting spam links, and people coming to TV just to try and get free advertising and directing people to their own sites for commercial purposes. I've seen a lot of those over the years. They contribute nothing to the site, and their prime purpose is to try and increase traffic on their sites (which could lead to higher revenue).

Overall though, I think TV is doing pretty good. Oddly enough, I am living in a box (sort of) right now ! An 8'x20' ISO accommodation unit, with protective concrete barriers around, and 10,000+ armed guards ! But only for a couple more days ! :D

I know where'd I'd rather be too ! But I kinda like it here. Decent pay, decent benefits, 3 months of paid holidays a year. Free flights to/from home each trip (3 times a year). Oh sure there's the rocket attacks now and then. No bars/booze allowed. Snakes, scorpions and spiders the size of small cats. No "pleasurable" company, and NO motorcycle ! :D

But it pays the bills and pays for all those mods and accessories I'll be doing to the bike when I do get home (8 days to go, 8 days to go.....).

Sefton. Are you telling me that the gov't approved inspection stations in Phuket would fail this bike because of a modded tail light? How would they know?

This WILL pass in BKK. 100%.

Don't see how that wouldn't pass inspection, unless they (for some reason) demanded everything be factory spec and original (chances of that happening ?).

Here's the tail light cluster on the new V-Rod Muscle
