daga
Have You got any idea where we can spend 5 days on Samui? Maybe can You propose us something intresting? We would like to visit a small (not very big), snug and family resort, best in bungalow near the nice beach, (price until 2000 baht/night/room.) We will arrive to Samui 27 of Febuary, do we need a A/Cin bungalow in this time? Are there any problems with wind on the North-East side of island, is it dangerous to swim? best regards daga
limbos
IMHO Choengmon Beach is the nicest beach/bay on the island. Try the White House, Imperial Boathouse or for cheaper acco, Choengmon Bungalows. A/C not really necessary by than and swimming is no problem. joinme2leave
try either BoPhut or Maenam. Cannot recommend Chaweng or Lamai somehow as u are asking for "family resort" which might be hard to find those spots. Furthermore room rates are increasing day after day, officially due to "high season" (believe it if u wish to believe in that joke argument)... naomisri
For something slightly different you could try tong takien bay between Lamai and Chaweng. It is a beautiful small bay where you can swim, snorkle, paddle, lie on the beach or play games. Samui Yacht club has a pool and you wuold be sharing the entire beach with only 3 other resorts. I live about 2 mins away with my husband and step-son and he plays football at the yacht club every day. It's still near enough to Lamai/Chaweng to go for meals if you want a different atmosphere. http://www.samuiyachtclub.net If you want any more info PM me!
