Can someone recommend a good restaurant to take my dearest wife for a nice intimate meal in Chaing Mai. Certain conditions apply: It must be fairly quiet ( so those loud places by the riverside are not to be included. Food must be good but not mega expensive (as I will have to buy her flowers as well) but not too cheap. It must have nicely set tables and not be like a cafe as many of the restaurants in Chiang Mai are like.I have 1000 bahts in coins saved up for this experience so hopefully that should be nearly enough.

This came up last year and there were initially 2 suggestions; Galae at the top of Suthep Road and Mi Casa off Suthep Road. The first will be well within your budget but the second will stretch you but would be my preference. Mi Casa have a web page so search see what they are offering on the day. Prices will be listed.
