May I ask what you mean by small - roughly what size and what do you mean by farm (would that mean "suitable farm type land).

My guess is that you are going to find a substantial premium on the rental price - just because of the area and where it is i.e. you are best to move inland, exactly where depending on the crop you wish to grow (e.g. fruits up North around Chang Mai and Chang Rai, veggies - Central Thailand area and much the same for cattle).

The soil around Pattaya is generally very sandy and is limited to crop type.
