Anybody mind if i put some balls into this thread? :o

1:Ac/dc-Back in black

2:Metallica-Master of puppets

3:Gnr-Appetite for destruction

Woke up in a hardrockmode today. If you ask me tomorrow top tre might be:

1:Pink floyd-dark side......

2:stevie ray vaghn-Sky is crying

3.Eric clapton-the blues concert.

I think a top ten list would be easier than a top 3. Man the good albums you have to take away to make a top 3!!! Not easy!

Also the best album ever made "pump" by Aerosmith but that stands above the list.

Gee, some colours came out thinking about that lot flashbacks?. But there are some titles there I think I would not even begin to think to play. Each to there own.

One of the best vocalists I ever heard was a oz guy Jeff St John at the St Marys Band Club. I also got drunk with Matt Taylor and smoked cigars. That was in his Western Flyer days (Chain was also a good band). Little River Band had some great vocals as well.

But, appreciation of music evolves. What I would have said for the 70's 80's 90's and now have changed. There were Slade, T Rex, The Angels, Ian Drury, Sex Pistols, Pablos Dog, Stevie Wright, Aron Neville, Donna Summer, Sade, Peter Frampton, Thin Lizy the list can go on.

Anything that is Van Morrision suits me. But I would also suggest a good album The Cruel Sea, This is not the way Home. And you cant go past Cat Stevens.

'Ol Frank neither smoked or drank - not that smoking necessarily causes cancer of the throat. He didn't care too much for druggies either - was naturally high. :o

Where did you (in 2005!) get the strange idea Frank Zappa never smoked?

Difficult to answer as I have a habit of listening to an album ad nauseum then go back to it a year later:

Recent listening -

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium

George Michael - Patience

Bruce Springsteen - The Good, the Bad and the E Street Shuffle
