Hi,

Info: 22 Yrs, Netherlands, IT specialist.

Require: Moving to Thailand, stay in bangkok, find job and appartment.

Story: I want to move to Thailand in a few months, on arrival in bangkok I will have about 180000 bht on my account.

I will have a returning ticket valid for 6 months.

I want to be able to find a job there, without having to worry about my visa, so I need a non-immigrant B visa.

Also I want to rent an appartment.

todo? Is a price for an appartment apprx 4000bth/month (that's what a friend of mine told me in bangkok), and can I do this without any type of visa yet.

Also, What part do I do in the Netherlands and which part do I do in Thailand?

Request the Non-immi b visa in the netherland? if so, Don't I already need a job offer in thailand?

What are things to keep in mind when doing all this?

And is 180000bth (4000 Euro) enough to be able to go around for at least 6 months.

Then as extra:

If anybody knows a good appartment complex in bangkok, please let me know.

Extra 2:

If anybody knows an company in Thailand that requires MCSE 2000 engeneers, let me know,

Or any other nice job, such as tuktuk driver  :o

Apply for a Non Immigrant B Visa at the Royal Thai Consulate -General Mmastrat 40 1075 HW Amsterdam Tel 3120 6799916\Read the guidance info on the previous postings about what is needed...eg a decent letter on letterhead. An apt is more likely to be 10.000 Bht per month...I don't know how you live but the money might not last 6 months. You might be better off trying to get a job before you get here.

But don't I need a job offer to get the non immigrant b visa?

I saw on a appartment website a few appartments for around 4000 bht. And otherwise I have some fthai friend where I already have been living and they really like it when I do so again.

You think the money is not enough? The last time I was there for holiday i lost 50000bht on all my expenses, but then I was really having a blast and bought a lot.... so....Well I don't know. I'll see.

But all the companies require the person to visit for an interview. And as I am still in the netherlands its a bit difficult.
