Hello. I'm a 29 year old from holland who is quite shoked about what has happend and would like to help out. Instead of gettin on the plane with now lead I am looking for a place where my help is really needed. I hope someone can help me out with some contacts. My profile:

Who am I?

- I'm 29 years old

- lived abroad quite some time, know how many people in asia live

- been in most disaster places

- I already have most vacinations, busy with getting the rest

- married with two children

- work in the ICT (Abn Amro Bank) as third level support

- large perseverance

- good will

- finished polytechnic mechanical engineering

What can I do?

- speak and write fluent english

- speak some german

- install water piping

- plumbing

- install electrics (be aware I'm not an electricien, but I can install

sockets, switches)

- rebuild home

- do hard labour

- adjust easily to situations and solve practical problems

- install networks (computer, some telephones)

- paving

- many more ...

What can I organise myself:

- medications (only need a list what is needed)

- can help 4 to 6 weeks

- maybe as soon as 2 weeks time

I think most immediate need for voluntering will be taken care off. unless you are a forensic expert all the other things you mention are prohibited carreers in Los and can only be done by thais or if you have a WP. Maybe the best thing you could do is do some fund raising or similar back home.
