There are loads of good bookshops and just about every shopping centre has one. B2S in Central World is my favourite.

If you're after porn, you can get DVDs in the street markets, but it's illegal so you probably won't find anything local.

Kinokunyia at Siam Paragon is the biggest bookstore in Thailand. and Asiabooks has its biggest branch in Paragon too. Kinokunyia has another smaller branch at the Emporium mall. homepage: www.kinokuniya.com

If you look for a specific title, the staff at any Asiabooks is able to check if and in which branch the desired title is in stock. their homepage is rather not so exciting, though. www.asiabooks.com

I found out that even they say on their website they dont even list a specific title, they in fact had it in one of their branches when I showed up there in person.

adult magazines ? illegal !

I would assume almost any magazine/newspaper shop will sell adult magazines but you will have to ask because they are illegal, so probably not on display.

no, not at all at these chain shops-and neither at any large Thai chain.

the only sources are: street side-tipically evening only stalls-and indeed hidden-near the well known spots for the trade. Mostly Thai/Japanese.

2nd hand at the variety of those shops opposite Chatuchak weekend market/incl, some dumped -off dusty years old stuff from west. vendors will approach any farang there
