Passport By Post, Easy Or Not?

i need to get a new passport as old one full......is it easy to do by post, anyone done it???

i did a "search" here but couldnt find answers. any advice welcome.thanks

ok..........if it helps then , i want a british passport from the british embassy in bangkok......anyone done this by post outside bangkok. i see its possible but as this is thailand then the possible is sometimes really not possible!!

I would inquire at the embassy first. Normaly you have to apply in person, but can have the passport send to you. Never heard of any problems by sending it EMS, that is why the embassies offer it. Postal service in Thailand is pretty reliable, especialy by EMS.

I did it from Koh Samui, works fine. Took about 2 weeks all up.

No problem at all applying for a new passport by post as long as you have all the paperwork completed then send by ems,have done this procedure before and no problems..

OK thanks , it sounds like i can save myself a couple of journeys then.

A Brit friend of mine got one recently and he was able to do everything by mail. A US citizen cannot. The US Embassy will not mail a US passport.
