Not sure if you saw this, but I had a similar question that did get some responses.

I am going to be trying to sponsor a TG to visit me in May. Will be pursuing it in March/April. Probably try to get the visa thru a hotel. I noticed the Grand Hyatt (where I will stay) site has a visa form for visitors and gives the conditions under which they will attempt to obtain a visa for someone.
