Tourist Visa Extension

Featured Replies

Hello, me and my friend are about to apply for our 60 day tourist visa, however we were think we will want to stay for about 14 days longer then this, and were wondering when can you get your extension? Can you apply for your extension the same time as you apply for your tourist visa or do you have to wait until just before your 60 day visa is up and do you have to be in the country when you apply for it?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

You apply at an Immigration Office in Thailand a few days before your 60 day stay expires. It will cost you 1,900 Baht.

The 30 day extension is added to your original 60 days , so you do not lose any days by going a bit early.

Don't forget that your Tourist Visa will be free of charge. More money for Beer Laos. :o
