Help Visa Stamp Altered

Featured Replies

Hi all just seeing if any of you can give me any advice.

Yesterday i took my british passport to the thai consolate in melbourne and paid for a double entry visa. I picked it up today and it was stamped and only one entry was written in so i pointed it out and he used a tippex pen on my passport over the one and wrote two in its place then signed next to it he assured me that would be ok but im not so sure. I also have the reciept.

Does anyone think i will have trouble at immigration in bangkok? cos anyone could use a tippex pen and do the same or will it come up on there system as a double entry?

Just after peace of mind really guys, cos the last thing i want when i arrive for the start of a relaxing holiday is to be arrested for tampering with my passport!

Has anybody else had this problem before?

Many thanks guys.

What does the receipt say, single or double entry?

What does the receipt say, single or double entry?

it says two entries

With a receipt from the Thai consulate that says two entries, I would not worry too much. You did not alter your passport, the Thai consulate did. I would suggest stapling the receipt in your passport next to the visa.

The consul's signature should make it OK.

Agree with Astral, the signature next to the correction makes it OK.
