OK, I have a problem with Mosquito sprays, they make me cough an splutter like an old asthmatic dog. Yet sometimes I need to use the spray.

The question is, how much for an average size bedroom, for example? Is one small squirt enough to do the job effectively or is a longer burst needed?

Yes, I know about using the electric bats for zapping mozzies, but sometimes the spray needs to be done and though I try to do it on the way out of the house for a time, that is also not always convenient.

TIA.

dang, missed a C off critters in the title!

If you can find it, look for a spray that is DEET free. That is usually the ingredient that causes problems, FYI DEET can also cause seizures in dogs if they are exposed to too much of it.

I don't use insecticide to get rid of mosquitos in the house or in my bedroom. Instead, I use a zapper that is like a tennis racquet. It has a rechargeable battery and is very selective in killing only undesirable insect (flies included). I have one beside me when I sleep so when a mozzie comes buzzing near my ear - ZAPPPP.

Keep you Mosquito nets closed at all times, if you have them. I recently bought some Mosquito Repelant Cream which i find very efficiant - it is called ' OFF ' it really works.

Listerine in a spray bottle works really well. Also, keep a sheet of cling free or similar clothes dryer fabric softener in your pocket. They hate the stuff and you won't be bothered further.
