I am looking to purchase a new netbook. I would prefer one without a flash drive, the Acer netbook with a 160gb hard drive looks particularly appealing. No cd drive, but I can live without that. How does the acer compare to the HP or the Asus? Any users out there with their own reviews of their netbooks?

thanks for the links, much appreciated. I like hearing first hand accounts so will be particularly interested in the Thai Visa thread. What works in the UK or the US isn't necessarily the best thing for a hot climate like Thailand.

Ive had the Acer Aspire One for a little over 2 months now. It came loaded with window xp and 1 gig ram. I couldnt be happier with it.

No problems what so ever.
