At my hotel our Thai cook has a niece who is 16 years old who has left school and wants to work in the hotel/tourism sector. She has been helping out for a week or so and is proving very useful with her help in the kitchen.

In order to put everything on a more formal basis, I need to understand the Thai employment regulations for persons who are 16 years old (or 17, 18 years etc). Are there rules regarding the type of work and hours of work and minimum wage etc?
