For many years i need probiotics for retablish intestinal flora. But these are not easy to find in Thailand. I'm looking for capsules containing Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnasus and/or Saccharomyces boulardi . In Europe i have IMUTIS, LACTEOL, ULTRA-LEVURE but are not avialable here in Thailand. Who knows some brand and can help me to find such "Probiotics". Thank You very much.

Sorry I can't help with capsules question but I did watch a program, on television, some years ago about this. Only problem is it was to do with animals and how they overcome 'Gut Flora' problems. They actually eat other animal droppings. In humans the baby actually picks up the bacteria from the mothers faeces. I have read that the bacteria required can be picked up naturally by being around humans. In a land where the hand is used for the purpose of anal cleanlyness I would imagine you should pick up your needs very quickly. Edited by coventry

Available in Thailand under brand name INFLORAN.

Sold over the counter but must be kept refrigerator and not so widely used so may need to go to a very large pharmacy to find it.

GNC doesn't sell them and Infloran is apparently now unavailable in Thailand. Yoghurt doesn't contain the specific strains mentioned and the number of live bacteria is usually much too low to have any effect. The only thing I've seen widely available in Thailand is from an unknown company called Noltec containing Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacterium Longum.
