Hi there, :D to Thailand :D this is a common thing around the kindgom, big old snakes trying to make out with a power transformer and blowing/shorting out the lines, no this is not always the case, there are varies reasons for the power outages, traffic accident, fire, thunder storms, etc, now my friend please count your BLESSING for this old Thailand Hand can remember way way back late 70's thru the 80s and beyond when the power would go out and stay out for DAYS, this is not a joke, other old Thailand Hands, over to You All. :wai: I can recall an older Thailand hand, who has long since depart to that great Wat in the Sky, saying to me, "there is plenty of water, never mine(Mai Pai Rai) the power outage, which would you rather have water or power" just a little thought and I could understand what he meant. :P maybe if you can join us at the next Thai visa Party we can have a chat over a :D I will tell you some old stories about a few hours in the land of smiles without water. hint hint :o:D

Reminds be of west africa in the mid 90's. You either had water or you had power, but having both at the same time was almost unheard of. There were no suppliers of large containers of water either so everything was done with 1.5l plastic bottles. At time it got so bad that we even had to buy mineral water in the store to shower with since the stuff that came out of the ground was so disgusting that if you would shower with it you would probably be more dirty than before.
