How can I politely tell someone I don't need help/assistance - equivalent of, in English, "Don't need help thanks!"

Can I just say "Mai choo-ay kah"? I need something short as I'm going to need to shout it :o

Are they offering you help? If so, a simple 'mai ao kup' will do. "I don't want it thanks" or 'mai pen rai' "Don't worry about it"

"Mai choo-ay kah" - don't help. It's used when someone ask for your help but you don't want to help.

"Don't need help thanks!", you can just say "Mai bpen rai kha, khop khun"

or "I don't need help/assistance" - "Mai dtong chuay rhok kha, khop khun maak."

Thanks a lot. Yes, it's someone offering help. I'll go for the "mai ao kah" or "mai bpen rai kah", see if that does the trick next time.

mâi dtông chûay

This is a little abrupt, so you can add Ka to soften it a little
