Yep - closed yesterday, as was Central Department Store, but MBK was still open. We're meeting some friends who are visiting Bangkok - and we're deciding on where to head.

Any news on Central World/Siam Paragon?

very strange. they fear looting?

Some inner-city malls remained closed on Tuesday, the proprietors still worried about potential further unrest in the capital.

Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery and Central World were closed for the third day running. Managements said they wanted to more certainty in Bangkok before reopening and that they were evaluating the situation day-by-day.

MBK mall remains open, according to staff.

Central department stores management said all malls under Central Group were open except for Zen and the Silom Complex branch.

Cinemas belonging to Major Cineplex group were open, except the Siam Paragon branch.

as there are numerous threads running, we are trying to consolidate discussions and news update to make them comprehensive.

for this reason Im going to have to close a few threads, including this one.

please do not start new threads but do either of the following:

1. if you find news articles with sources from media, photos, and the likes...please post them in 'existing' thread in the news clipping section

2. if you have an opinion, strong feelings, debating points, solutions you would like to propose, please post them in an 'existing' thread in the General sub-forum

3. if you want to report traffic and incident you or family and friends have witnessed (updates of facts....but no political opinions please), then you can do so in the News only thread on General Forum, and also in the existing thread in the Bangkok sub forum

thanks everyone for your patience and cooperation.

please continue to post and get update on whats open or not open here:
