My Visa and WP both expire in early June, but I will be leaving in early May to attend a training program for 3+ months in USA.

Is it possible to apply early and get the process out of the way? I have looked around, but not much on the subject.

Immigratio will normally do an extension early if you inform them that you need to make a trip while your extension is due. You might need too show them your tickets or some other proof.

A check with your local immigration office would give you a definitive answer.

Next week, I will approach the Immigration and see what can be done.
