Process To Getting A 'stall' To Sell Things On Silom Rd.?

Featured Replies

What's the process to getting hold of retail-stall space on Silom sidewalks? Is there some gov't office to contact? A mafiosa names Somchai The Turtle or what? hehe thx in advance :o

Speak with another stall owner, or speak with a police officer in the vicinity.

is this for a thai girl? :o:D

save the world from another stall sir. just pay her what little she would have made, and we all be happy! i thought one of the benefits of marry farang is so one doesnt have to do stall work.

Good to get her out of the house and doing something.

you ever see them setting up and tearing down a stall. the men and occasional thai girl sweat like piggs. then they have to push their cart to wherever they store them.

looks like hard work. and i forgot ,they have to be out in all the pollution and heat for hours at a time.

i do wonder how much they make for a 3 person operation. do the boys get a full cut? can the operator hire boy crews to handle the heavy work?

she won't be working it, we're looking to get a handful of them all over the place eventually. just wondering how one actually 'acquires' a spot is all.

you dont even know the basics, and you think you gonna aquire a whole bunch of trustworty thais to run them for you.

this sounds like fun.

we just signed a lease for a kiosk in central rama 3... turns out her idea of selling on 'silom' and mine were different.. she was thinking a full fledged shop at sala deang and i dont see that happening.. this kiosk at central is a good tester i think to get some numbers to work with.

Hers's your chance for free advertising...

what is she selling?

yeah give us all the details. someone must be making money on all these ventures.

just wondering how can you think wife want a street stall and she want a full fledge store. seems there seems to be quite a language barrier going on.

i think you should contact government,as i noticed some of them have license number written on stall, however priorety goes to physicaly challenged people(like deff and dum you must have seen them on stalls)

all the best

the city -tesakij ... will aproach you for fees, just set up BUT don't step on anyones toes...thats when somchai the turtle comes in.

somchai needs to be seen first. or else you may end up with no toes!
