westbounder
If I apply for a retirement visa in Chiang Mai, do I have to bring a police report of myself with me from the USA? If so where do I aquire it in the USA or how do I go about getting one? Thank you Joe
lopburi3
Police report is only required when you obtain the OA visa in your home country. Local extensions of stay for retirement do not require it.

Maestro
daxbr, there is nothing about a police report in the topic to which you gave a link. westbounder, the information given by Lopburi3 is correct. You do not need a police report for the retirement extension. -- Maestro
ubonjoe
I guess you changed your mind and want to get an extension here now. As said you don't need a police report. That is only required for the OA visa that I gave you info about in an earlier post tha you can get in the states. If you decide to go for the OA a police report is normally easy to get. In many states all you have to do is give them your drivers license and they do a check for wants and warrants and print out a report.
